A BIG THANK YOU and a January gathering this Thursday, 16 Jan 2025
Dear Bond over Bites members,
Wow! We’ve had an amazing start this past semester!
At our Spring Semester Kick-off meeting on Thursday, January 16 at 12:00 pm, Sherry and I would like to discuss new ideas with you in one of the side rooms in the Undercroft. Sherry and I have discussed possibilities to make this club even more fun. Here’s a teaser: It is a cooking club, and clubs do things…..
We now have over 40 members who have participated in serving 22 TIPS lunches, 9 Seniors Lunches, two New Members Lunches, and a Family Ministry volunteer lunch. We also helped serve dinner between services on Christmas Eve for our clergy, staff, and volunteers who made this service so beautiful.
In total, we have served over 2500 individual meals this fall!! Myra said that the thing she is most grateful for this year has been the TIPS Cooking Club! She couldn’t have done her job without all the help you have provided each week in the kitchen.
Our chefs have given us great feedback on how you have allowed them to complete the job efficiently and effectively. And if you are a chef, you’ve told us how grateful you are for all the help!
Sherry and I are so proud of how everyone helped when needed and cheerfully prepared, served, and cleaned up for each meal. The kitchen hums with everyone working, smiling, talking, and laughing.
And when we go out of the kitchen during lunch and see everyone enjoying the food and the company of others at their tables – and practicing their English! – we are delighted!
We are also delighted that we have new members!! I'm attaching our Bond over Bites overview for them and to remind the rest of you what we do and why we do it.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Blessings,
Kristine and Sherry
